Petriage—a Washington-based B2B technology company that recently received an industry-first patent for its teletriage tool—announced that it will be expanding and streamlining its services.
The new one-stop telehealth services are designed to reduce COVID-19-related stress in clinics, benefitting the entire team and pet owners and will include the following:
- Petriage Curbside, which simplifies the check-in and check-out process improving workflow, freeing up phone lines, and streamlining client communication via customizable forms and contactless payments.
- Petriage Live, an optional phone-based consultative triage service that links pet owners with licensed technicians and veterinarians for trusted advice. This service also limits a veterinarian’s need to be on call 24/7 to provide personalized care to clients.
- A two-tier subscription platform, that allows veterinary professionals to incorporate cost-effective telemedicine and strengthen relationships with pet owners.
“Our mission is to offer an integrated approach to veterinary care that gives vets more flexibility and efficiency and pet owners a one-stop destination that fulfills their pet-care needs,” says Petriage CEO Joe Coury, in a company release. “These additional offerings and other innovative telehealth technologies and services we’re developing, including wearables and enhanced data analytics capabilities, will deepen the trust between pet owners and their vets and improve vets’ quality of life and practice effectiveness, at a time when practices are under immense stress.”
The company’s newly offered support solutions stem from a recent joint survey conducted by the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association (WSVMA). According to the survey, 76% of respondents were very or extremely concerned about their team’s level of stress and burnout. The new services will help promote a healthier work environment by reducing stress and burnout and increasing workflow and efficiency.
“Our new services, combined with our remote triage infrastructure, set Petriage further apart from competing telehealth services as a full circle-of-care telehealth solution,” says Allon Freiman, Petriage’s chief strategy officer, and a co-founder. “Our joint survey of vets with the WSVMA underscores the importance of 21st-century services to vets, especially to improve their clinics’ workflow.”
