Flintshire: Disgust as cat is kicked and covered in nail varnish

A CAT was covered in nail varnish in a “cruel” incident in Flintshire.

The cat, named Casper, was targeted in the Buckley area and came home to its owner with the varnish on its face and back.

Its owner later found the makeup box with the varnish in it not far from her home, and said there are clear signs that it was done deliberately, rather than it being a case of an inquisitive cat mistakenly having done it to itself.

The cat’s owner said it was taken to the vets to be checked over, but thankfully it appears to be fine.

She also said that it recently came home with an injured leg – with a vet saying that it was likely kicked.

People took to social media to express their anger at the incident, with it being described by many as “disgusting”.

One person said: “[It] beggars belief, I am so sorry to hear this – some absolute lowlifes out there.”

Another added: “There’s no words to describe this. So many cruel people getting away with stuff these days.”
